iPhone 7 vs iPhone 6S: Changes

The iPhone 7 is probably the most anticipated phone of 2016. People and experts alike are waiting for the release of the device quite eagerly. Following Apple’s refresh cycle, it is expected that the device will make an appearance somewhere in September or October this year and based off the numerous leaks and rumors we are sure that Apple will surely introduce some changes in different parameters of the device that will surely break the general conception that is associated with an iPhone.

In this segment, we have consolidated the top rumours for the iPhone 7 and will be comparing them to the iPhone 6S. We are fully aware that the iPhone 7 leaks and rumours are plenty, but, we are considering only those rumours, which we think have some credibility.

Design

When we took a look at some of the leaked images for the iPhones, we agree that the overall design is quite similar to what we are used to seeing in the old iPhones. Yes, it is true that there are going to be changed in the overall build and form factor, but from what we could make out, there is definitely a sense of similarity between the different devices.

Apple is also expected to bring in slight changes to the overall design of the device that is going to benefit the overall user experience for sure.

Specs

This is definitely an interesting segment, as, Apple devices are known to have amazing software and hardware interfacing and a good balance between specs and performance. We are also very excited to see what the company is able to achieve this time around.

We are sure to see a new processor in the upcoming device, however, unlike the previous iterations, the leaks also suggest that there is going to be some ground-breaking additions as well. The smart connector is one such addition. A lot of leaks and renders across the internet are showing the smartphone with three dots at the bottom of the device, which is basically the smart connector.

Other interesting things include the integration of the touch ID sensor on the display itself rather than having a home button, which doubled up as a fingerprint sensor, which we saw on the iPhone 6S.

One of the most talked about rumours regarding the changes that Apple is willing to make from the iPhone 6S in their upcoming flagship is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is likely that the lightening connector will also act as a headphone jack in the iPhone 7.

Finally, the last thing that we felt was feasible are the reports that the company may be looking to remove the 16GB variant in the iPhone 7. For quite a long time, iPhone users have been complaining about this storage option as, till date, Apple has never introduced a smartphone which has expandable internal storage options. Several reports are also suggesting of a new 256GB variant of the device.
